My good friend Fred Abbott runs Valley View Ventures -- an enterprise that provides sales, administrative, and accounting services for some of the best analysts in the business.  Fortunately for me, Fred counts me in that bunch.

For a percentage of my revenues, Valley View Ventures:
 
   1.  Helps sell the reports that I write;
   2.  Looks for new opportunities and outlets for my work (including audio/video);
   3.  Handles all paperwork related to sales; 
   4.  Provides accounting services such as billing, tracking, and collection; and,
   5.  At the end of the year, provides me with all of the documents I need to pay my
        taxes.

For a research analyst, life doesn't get any better.  By not having to sell my reports -- and by not having to perform accounting activities -- I can concentrate on what I do best: technical research, writing, and speaking.
